I like the simple back link method "<a href="index.php" without new menu in between more for Almanac.

FWIW the almanac screen will be removed shortly as the same information appears in popup screens . so no point in doing anything or spending time doing stuff with it and ultimately duplicating stuff..

example of forthcoming , showing same almanac data as you see in the almanac dedicated screen.

Hi Brian,

I like the new way of displaying the Almanac data all the data in one place .. Very Nice

Now the problem .. :-) Once in Alt there is no way to get back to the Home screen. There is a OS Theme Icon now in place of Home.
Browser back arrow works of course.

Hi Brian,

Nice update consolidating the Archive data. :D

In the Alt Mobile Phone view, should the last module be empty? If so - No problem. I suspect that you are "fine tuning."

Take care,

Chuck

hi chuck just trying to finalize things prior to September . should be falling into place now , have to cater for ms,kts,uk,c,f units users so a better utilizing of the menu as opposed to cramming everything into toolbar. as always patience is virtue.. :D

Update now has all necessary files for upgrading to use forthcoming paid version. please note you are not forced to use paid version this version will continue to work , there is no nag screens to prompt you or bug you . when forthcoming release is done simply to use or access updates you will require an account . Hopefully soon the backend CMS(control management system) for accessing downloads etc will be complete .

Download Update 24th August 2021
* (09:14) ** Update for Alt/OS theme *Significant
* (09:14) ** Reworks how metrics are displayed and handled
* (09:14) ** Better handling for mobile view use
* (09:14) ** Remove almanac data screen and moved data to info screens

* This update contains files to be able to upgrade for future paid release(target release date September)

* Please always do a *backup before running updates

in this update it utilizes the menu to ensure your chosen metric options are viewable . see screenshot .also removed almanac screen and as chuck put it smartly consolidated it into existing info screens as basically it's the same identical data .
Sometime in September the API will have more data and some removed like Davis console forecast,Lightning which consumes quite a lot of data in the API output so things like year averages, month averages etc will appear.you will still be able to use lightning via a separate small custom API which has been described in the setup guide page .

If you are not a Davis hardware owner then I advise you not to even bother with forthcoming paid version and waste your money I simply will not be held accountable and any inept complaints you should read what Im saying here before firing off ,it will be primarily for Davis hardware owners . The forthcoming paid version is not about making money, paying for my time etc its purely about raising funds to be able to purchase a necessary license for distribution of new chart library .

Good morning.
Now where do I find the 3 optional positions that were in the almanac screen?
Thanks.

Hi Brian,

Thanks for the updates. I like keeping the Toolbar relatively small - keeps it from overflowing when viewed on mobile.

One thing I noticed, if I can explain it. On the Toolbar Units Icon C or F. If I go to your site (Weather34), which defaults to Metric, your Toolbar shows an F. If I click it, the Imperial units are displayed and the Icon changes to C. One more click and the display returns to Metric and the Icon changes back to F. To me, this is the correct behavior.

If you go to Ron's site, his default is Imperial, but the icon displayed is F rather than C. My site is OK because I managed to change it using some of your previous code.

No big deal, but I thought I would let you know for a future update.

Thanks again,

Chuck

Think i understand, however how the metrics are handled will be like the recent newer theme changing script in the near future .
all i have todo is work the ms,kts,uk into it , the tedious part is the charts and being the chart library will change I see no point in spending anytime on it, if it was just F and C then i would have pushed that a few weeks ago .it works identical to theme changed so it’s instantaneous and less code which im always striving for at every opportunity.

as always implementing changes can be a bit hit and miss initially but get there sooner or later.. :)

well now. I have updated and updated…. Sometimes I thought “looked good, didn't it? I am very impressed with your patience and persistence to meet our wishes as much as possible and to make it better / more beautiful and even faster. But also the patience and sharp eye of many to make it look so beautiful. Deeply impressed. thank you!
