It is strange. I have not posted for a while because the problem seems to have resolved itself. I am running the May 1 version at the moment.
Good luck!

I'm now running version of may 21.
But for now still not as it should be.
The first 0.2mm is missing.
Rate and hoursum is ok but the total misses the first tip of the bucket.
Keeping this version for now, see how things go.
I'm using meteostick with meteobridge.
In version 2.6 no problems....

Today we have lots of rain and guess what...no problems with missing raintotals.
Meteobridge and console readings are exact the same.

Hope it stays this way.

What happens if you reboot your meteobridge? Will it keep the rain-total?

No problems with totals.
Yesterday I had to reboot my meteobridge because my internet connection was interrupted during the night.
Whenever meteobridge loses connection with the internet I have to reboot my device.
This happens if my router has no connection with internet, sometimes this happens.
After reboot my meteobridge doesn't count the first 0,2mm of rain.
It was ok after I had previous issues with the first count.
Seems that it solves the problem in time automatically.

Hope this bug will be fixed someday.

Well, this problem is still happening. Recently I rebooted to update ...
Meteobridge 2.9 (Jun 8 2016, build 9935)
... but it makes no difference.

The weather station console is a WMR200. It counts the rain events.
However, when uploaded to WeatherUnderground whenever it is a the first count for a while (perhaps after some hours) then it is not included in the Rain data, only in the Rate.

I have tried everything, including clearing the memory and reseting/reloading.

Every new rain session misses the first count. I guess if you get a lot of rain it is not a problem... but around here I am missing a significant part of the story!

This is a bug. Another MB I installed with a WMR89 works fine.

Interesting, so you say it is a WMR200 only bug? That explains why I does not see it with my test rig.

Well, all I can say is that I see it on that site, and not the other. I presume there are some differences in the exact details of how the various consoles communicate (even from the same manufacturer. I'm sure they are not trying to make it easy for you!)

This issue could be reproduced on envoy8x systems and is now fixed for those.

It will work for all weather stations that reset rain counter back to zero each new day. Normally the raincounter is a rolling number neven been reset. But envoy8x behaves different. I can't say if other stations might also do so.

Thanks for this post. I rebooted to build 11364, and the first rain this morning was reported correctly. I will wait for more rain, and report in.

I should point out that the problem I have been having can happen more than once a day (and is only observed when there is a single count in the upload period).

Hoping this fixes the same for my acurite 5 in 1 station. It misses the first count but reports the first count to meteoplug.

Edit: Confiming the fix appears to have worked for the 5 in 1 as well.

My 5-n-1 does this as well. (reports the first .01" of rain in the rate only). I no longer receive updates, so I assume I am stuck with this bug.

I wondered if there has been a resolution to this. My meteohub has missed the first bucket tip since install 2 years ago. Many updates since then. If a new rainfall occurs within a few hours, it will not miss. However, if the time period is longer between measurable rain, say 4 hours, it will miss again.

We are talking here about Meteobridge, not Meteohub. Meteohub does accumulate data differently.

With respect to Meteobridge and build 11364, it has now worked correctly over four days with rain where it had been failing consistently to report the first count, so that looks like a fix!
It makes me very happy!
