Yes I was looking through it a bit ago. keeps saying there's a help file and a PDF help file but just not finding it. Downloaded a bunch of PHP viewers but none work in this damn windows 10 environment.

Confirmed with Ed @ Ambient. They decided to cut off everything but the MAC addresses of devices sold thru Ambient Weather. The $150 fee is the delta between a DIY Meteobridge and the WeatherBridge (AW branding) of the exact same thing.

We don’t sell your data. Our model is different. It is subsidized by customers that purchase Ambient Weather branded products.

It would not make sense for Ambient Weather customers to also subsidize users that did not purchase Ambient Weather products.

We pay a license fee to Boris like everyone else.

I am sorry this has caused so much grief. However, development, maintenance, data capture, data storage, hosting, API support, email, SMS, IFTTT, Alexa, Google Home, and all of the features coming to this relatively new service is expensive.

You are correct that the MeteoBridge offers a wide range of free hosting services. There are plenty of free options.

We are just filling a hole that Wunderground and others do not provide.

Thanks for reading.
