I have the same error: Ambient Weather Network: Weather network license has expired

Using: Meteobridge 3.6 (Feb 22 2018, build 12015), FW 1.3 on DIR-505 (plus USB hub)

Had same issued with an older version of the software (didn't get the build). System had been running for 42 days prior to rebooting to install new software.

I also sent a message to Ambient to see if it is my issue.

Two Meteobridge stations (WL-330N3G 3.2/FW 1.2 and DIR-505 3.6 FW 1.3) both uploading to Ambient,
both with an error-message "Weather network license has expired" in the "Live Data" tab cgi-bin/meteobridge.cgi?page=5&session=

AND for both the Ambient settings disappeared from the "Weather Network" tab /cgi-bin/meteobridge.cgi?page=2&session=
One can add a new one with the same MAC address but it disappears at the first upload
Ambient dashboards shows last uploaded data, in my case "a day ago"

@ALL
The message "No weather network traffic" is on the "Live Data" tab UNTIL the first scheduled upload.
So if add a new WeatherNetwork upload with a 5 minutes frequency that message will be there for 5 minutes.
If you reboot, all uploads have that message until their first scheduled upload.

Maybe this is the problem / cause: https://www.ambientweather.com/amvwanet.html#caption
AmbientWeather.net Website Access for WeatherBridge and WeatherBridgePro users that did not purchase the hardware from Ambient Weather.

This is a one time purchase.

Please enter your MAC address so that we may grant you access to our server.

Our Price: $150.00
OK, no uploads to Ambient for me anymore.

Yep same here. No more free data to Ambientweather.com then. Will charge them if they want my data so they in turn sell it to others for a fee.

Haven't go a response back from ambient if this is the case. Seems my system stopped reporting sometime lastnight.

Funny... They have no problem selling weatherbridge software devices that are really meteobridge, and don't have to do the work on development. We paid for meteobridge... Now they want more $. Ridiculous. Horrible business decision.

Well I suppose it takes infrastructure, money and time to set up a server and open it up for anybody and everybody to upload and use the system for whatever purpose for nothing?

MeteoBridge provides and enormous array of systems and means by which to upload and view data, Ambient being just one. However this appears to be the way of the future and a direction where even Davis is heading so maybe something to get used to and if your data is really important then simply setup a server of your own, you won't have to pay somebody else then :)

yep, In the process of trying to set up a MySQL and MYPHP system but more complicated than I thought. Even googling it is a headache. The thing is I brought my ObserverIP and WS-2902 from Amazon.com and can't figure how theses are not covered under there agreement. ObserverIP and the WS-2902 are ambient products. Anyone know of a good site to teach MySQL, MYPHP, Meteotemplate or the numerious other weather template sites would be greatly appreciated.

Weather34 has a good tutorial on how to set up your mysql. As does the Meteotemplate Wiki. He also has a video series on Youtube.

It seems hard, but honestly its kinda simple. Dont overthink it. If you mess up, start over again and boom all of a sudden everything works. Both those guys are great about helping you out too.

Trust me... Dont spend to much time learning how to deep dive (yet)....

Good Luck.
