good day chuck

web app version just use the add to home screen , the IOS app version itself just runs in full screen I hope to have it ready sometime in January , I finished the Android version this afternoon almost just got to adjust the colors for some reason the Android produces a tinted dark blue background .

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes that is what I was doing. I can add the site to the home screen, but when I re-open using the icon it is not full screen. I also tried it on Lars site - same result. Works fine on the Smart Template. This is on Safari - Ipad 6th Gen.

Hello not sure just tested links on page and takes me too the download link..

to preserve your chart history data and settings .

1. save a copy of existing settings1.php to your desktop
2. save a copy of your existing weather34charts folder to your desktop
3. download & unzip version 1.07A and upload to your existing web directory allowing it to overwrite all files .
4. now reupload the file settings1.php you saved to desktop
5. now reupload the folder weather34charts you saved to desktop
6. should be ok to go as no changes were added on to settings1.php however if you do see any anomaly then redo your settings via the setup screen.
7. failing all that contact me via PM I can sort it out for you painlessly in a matter of minutes.
8. all this will disappear in January once I have all languages sorted just takes time to get right in terms of alignment.

@chuck just checked my iPad and all open in full screen perhaps go into settings and clear safari history via the advanced setting as it has a tendency to cache things.I always clear down safari cache on iPad when adding a new add to home screen feature if I have used it before.

I had tried clearing the Cache and History a couple of times, but to no avail. I updated with your latest files, which included the site manifest and then it worked fine.

I guess something changed Im not aware off ( it happens a lot ) but if it works then all is good. added on theme switch and introduced a simple bottom menu tool bar will add on metric switching ...now adds 2 column mode for portrait mode in tablets and single column for phone devices includes new bottom toolbar.. have a great weekend ya all im off for a relaxing weekend

Looks great! One thing I noticed is the <meta name="mobile-web-app-capable" content="yes"> does not seem to be working, for me. I save the page to home screen via Safari, but it will not go full screen. I think I read somewhere about later versions IOS ignoring this in favor of a manifest reference. I will check into it further.

I also have problems with the incomplete display of MB-Smart, when called via the home screen icon for fullscreen display in iPadOS.

On the attached picture you can see that the right side is not loaded completely. This doesn't always happen but very often. It's enough to scroll once to update the part, but that's still not nice. For reproduction the icon must be started several times and minimized again (Safari cache is cleared).

I have an iPadPro with 11", for testing see the link in my signature. MB-Smart is the latest version from GitHub.

sorry its a short reply but not available for a week or so but i cant replicate and im using a ipad pro as i type , perhaps something unique to your ipad configuration and if its not possible to replicate stand little chance of finding a solution. very sorry brian

I tried everything possible in the Safari settings and found the cause for the misrepresentation. It happens when a Safari content blocker like 1Blocker of AdGuard is installed. The problem only occurs in full screen mode with start via the homescreen icon.

This occurs in iPadOS on my iPadPro 11", but strangely not on my iPadAir2 under iOS12 also with installed content Blocker.

Could it be due to the optimization of MB-Smart to certain screen sizes? Can I possibly experiment with different layouts, which parameters do I have to change in the MB-Smart files?

Hi Brian,

I just noticed a small issue on the Console version. The path to the icons in the consoledavis.php is <link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="57x57" href="appicon/apple-icon-57x57.png"> and the subdirectory name is appicons so they are not being found.

Also, it looks like the default Theme setting may not be working - seems to always default to Light regardless of the setting in the console-settings.php.

Not a major issue, but I thought I would let you know.

Hi chuck sorry about that all fixed and now includes languages support for moon/sun/clock .correct if sun up or down script . added color coding to wind speeds in mph/kts/ms/kmh

screenshot below as it is now with additional language support . again thoroughly tried to replicate @toto error but I couldn't may be thats related to the content blocker but again I couldn't replicate it . have a great week

it's a shame the mistake only happens to me. You also have an 11" iPad? I think it could be due to the screen layout optimization for certain resolutions 9", 10", 12"?

you mentioned content blocker you also mentioned if you refresh multiple times it clears , so the template handles the resolutions fine

it has the latest firmware IOS 13.something , if I could replicate it I could do something but unfortunately I don't get the problem and your screenshot a few post back shows a large perfect straight black area as if the template disappears underneath it . only thing I can think is
adjust the viewport in the index.php

it might take some trial and error to see what happens

adjust the width but probably screw up on devices using less width as I said trial and error

due to the popularity of the alternative layout and the feedback you now have a simple chart layout to accompany the alternative layout. screen shots below as always.lets not do anymore to it otherwise it becomes too congested and defeats the purpose of having a simple layout as the main template pretty much offers a lot of in depth data.

Hi Brian,

I'm finally getting back to normal from winter storm recovery mode. The new console looks Great it especially nice on the ipad.
I noticed a small glitch in the display of the Console's Forecast Text below the Barometer module which appears only using Firefox on Windows. See Attached screen shot:

Another snail issue I noticed while in AZ keeping an eye on the Snow Forecasts for MA when choosing the Forecast chart in the Forecast Module the Snow forecast is displayed as cm while Rain is correctly displayed as Inches but the values appeared to be correct. See Attached
