Doesn't look like the MK802 WLAN adapter is supported. Is it possible to add the drivers to the image?

Is there a list of supported external USB WLAN cards?

I would look at the chipset of the recommended cards or others known to work, that is what really matters. it would be interesting to see what the MK802 uses that is not working.

Note: you can get a shell in fluxbox by right-clicking the workspace Applications>Shells or Terminal Emulators

I've ordered the MK805 Mini PC from a reseller in England now and will give it a try. It should be here within a few days. I hope it works with meteohub.

The chipset seems to slightly different -

You have 0bda:8176 - I have 0bda:8179 - both Realtek

Looking around it seems that mine is RTL8188EU, which I'm guessing is a European version of the RTL8188CUS (Canada/US?) which is in yours.

How feasible is it to install additional drivers? I'm guessing that is something for Boris....

I have done some searching about and have found that unfortunately, wifi problems are a common issue with the MK802.. examples on Rikomagic MK802 Forums

I suggest save the pain and get a usb dongle that works

I saw that too - my Linux is probably too rusty for that

Is there a list of tried and tested Usb wlan adapters anywhere ?

Ok - I already got my MiniX, but it doesn't work at all. Seems that the MK805 can't boot from the SD card...
