your running the old file change the file to weather34-chart-end-of-day.php

your running charts-end-of-day.php which is the old file.

Hello Brian,
It seems so, I have found a little issue at the wind-max-times who displayed on main-screen:
On Main-Screen windmax-time is 05:07 which is definitively wrong

On extra-info-screen the correct max wind-time is displayed 08:10

The other min/max-times which displayed on main-screen seems to be correct, only the wind-values are affected.
I have observed this not only today, also yesterday...
Maybe you can see if you can verify that with yourself?

i use a few cheap OEM 10” android non branded no thrills $40 tablets and a smart tv occasionally, i prefer the 55” smart tv view i get your point about a large font but needs some thought in how to make it intuitive and UI friendly without it becoming a mess in design and importantly manageable going forward .really trying to keep it manageable so the enthusiasm remains when it gets tedious and messy then my enthusiasm wanes quickly.

I fully understand, so please don't undertake this suggestion if it doesn't work for your roadmap or satisfy your enthusiasm.

Having said that, I had a couple of ideas that might work.

First -- perhaps there could be large font versions of the needed modules (like temperature mod.php). Big temperature text and little else, same module dimensions, so that it could be used in the current template.If we had that, I'd simply create another instance of Weather34 with those modules selected and zoom to a 2x2 grid on the tablet.

I asked a similar question when I was trying to make the template fit on the official Raspberry Pi screen (which is a 7" screen and has 800x400 resolution).

To make this work I pretty much duplicated the entire template and hand-edited each of the modules to remove many items of text and increase the size of the main data in each module. I also had to reduce the size of each grid element to maintain the 3 items across the screen when the templated wanted to re-format it to 2-across (which wasted screen space).

It took a very long time and lots of manually tweaking of the module code and the .CSS files until it looked usable. It's not something I'd want to do again because as soon as I've got it working Brian would add some wonderful innovation and I'd have to re-do all the work (and the .CSS!!)

It's not worth it unless you like a lot of work. Just get a screen where you can change the resolution to something just usable (1024x768) which will make the template look big without re-work.

somehow it was overlooked it had
[wind0avgwind-dmaxtime:—]  should have been [wind0wind-dmaxtime:—] my mistake ..

search for the strings in both CSS files

Brian, just looking at the contents of api-build2021-Jan.php while trying to resolve a 0.1C difference in data between the meteobridge and template and I spotted an oddity:

API(30) and API(32) are both using [wind0wind-dmax:--]. Is that deliberate?

position 30 is not used in livedata.php so it has NO bearing on the template . its marked for change in the api for future but that won't happen for many months or hopefully never. API is complex and so easy to mess up things.please dont ask for API request changes its not gonna happen . you can build your own quite easily by simply modifying the config but thats done at your own risk and again simple updates will overwrite modifications.

see this guy https://meteo.ciucasx3.ro/?lang=ro he spent a lot of time and perhaps weeks modifying template for Vaisala hardware with out meteobridge unfortunately he can not use any simple updates without recompiling everything. he got a lot of things messed up at the beginning but eventually he got 90% working .
