never works as planned , only breaks when languages option set to no .. just fixed/pushed update.i never checked it in that configuration so many tnx..

should end up with something like this

firstly thank you for adhearing to the request process in total 104 requests in three days were responded too so hopefully it was not too inconvenient and don't forget no need to request a download each time as you can you simply use the simple update zip releases via from there on https://weather34.com/homeweatherstatio ... alone.html

this is something totally experimental and can easily be removed its an old script I used in a cumulus version years ago 2016 ! but I have another Smart TV where I managed to install a FirefoxTV browser but please treat it as totally experimental and its only for the SMART TV view .

Hi Brian/Ron,

Question about the Android TV's you have tried. I think, most of these have the ability to set an Auto Power OFF and and Power ON schedule. I am curious if you have tried this with the Browser open to your console?

The reason I ask is I presently have a large 18" Windows based table that is my primary console. I have it set to shutdown at night and power up and reboot in the early morning. Upon booting it automatically opens the browser, in full screen mode, to the Console url. This automates everything and I rarely have to touch it. Just didn’t know if this was possible with the TV. I was guessing that the tv probably goes to a start screen, but the browser app would remain closed until you manually open it.

Of course, the other option would be to just leave it on.

cant confirm that but will try when i get a chance not sure i can today my wife has a new mac desktop being delivered today so fun and games begins transferring her work stuff, programs ,licenses to her new machine .

i general my android tv just powers on in its last state i.e if i turn it off(standby) and was viewing the weather dashboard it powers on to that , but if the electric power is unplugged or cut off it reboots to tv satellite channel hdmi input.

Hi Chuck & Brian,

I just typed a long reply and lost it So To make a long story short .. We don't allow the TV or associated devices free access to the Internet they are isolated by a switch that is powered off when not in use. They were caught chatting with the internet while seemingly powered off.
Network and Internet security is what Ii do so we are Hyper Focused on that stuff in the house ... lol

I just tried the latest version of the console and it displays slightly too large vertically requiring scrolling down to see the options which is not a big issue here since it is otherwise looking Great. The Charts look great on the big set as well.

Thanks Ron that is good to know. I have seen that before, particularly with Android devices.

Brian, I just noticed a small browser anomaly. The Desktop icon in TV mode (see below). This only seems to occur when using Chrome on Windows. Chrome on Mac and all other browses work fine.

Solved - I did some more checking and found that it only shows up when the Zoom is set to 110% and further it's probably fine on the Android TV - so no big deal., please disregard.

ok I just did a quick test with auto standby
basically if last browser I used was the puffin browser it returned to last state when switched back on .
if used firefoxTV or Chrome it returned to browser but did not retain fullscreen as seen with puffin browser .

some screenshots of using fullscreen with puffin browser and firefoxtv . chrome for some reason on the TV was bit temperamental probably needs some slight css adjustment when used in full screen mode.

1.firefoxtv not in full screen mode *note the browser bar takes up a percentage of screen quite considerably.



2.firefoxtv using full screen switch mode in the toolbar at the bottom of template



3.puffin browser using full screen mode switch in the toolbar at the bottom of template



seems to be some differences how the browsers work on smart tv OperaTV browser when using the full screen mode switch to 2 column mode

still a learning curve to get the best overall balance but for now puffin browser reproduces best viewing .

Didn't mean for you to go to all of that trouble, but thanks. That is just what I was trying to figure out.

Good luck with the new Mac. I have done that many times - Migration Assistant etc. It is never fun.

ha we used cloud and migration assist was able to transfer pretty much everything after a couple of hours .. nice to have my desktop back.. video no problem it was just a low res iphone vid..

ron tip set the zoom to 90% as opposed to 100% it all falls i to place if using puffin browser , however firefox chrome etc somewhat fiddly ..have great day all..

add simple large air quality module weather34-airquality-mod.php new option in setup screen.

update file also includes 28th April

includes old master css for really old browsers
includes new CSS GRID support
includes fallback for Flex grid type supported browsers
minor other fixes nothing significant minor alignments.
