Brian,
Nice addition. Opens up a few alternatives for my setup.
Thanks,
Chuck

what i could do chuck is simply create a uvindex , solar reading module additional option identical to the small indoor module as you have it configured again 90% of it there just have to use an identical structure with uv,solar instead of indoor temp etc. would that be of use ??

Would it be difficult to get all of the UV and solar data into a small module? I had the Indoor module showing in Portrait mode, but decided to try it in the main screen, since you made the larger Air Quality. Of course, I did remove the Average Wind module to accommodate. Just experimenting - sometimes its nice to glance and check the indoor readings.
The console is very versatile and it provides lots of variations. So, I don't want you to go to too much trouble. My setup is probably the exception.
Sometime, whenever you get a chance, I would like to add a Lightning chart. I only have 2020 data at present and I can customize, so you don't have to complicate the setup screen.
Thanks,
Chuck

its not difficult many have purple air and the code is already there just have to drop it in so its not inconvenient and I like the idea of its your data , your hardware not some scrape . just updated repo and simple update file . newer file called weather34-uvindex-small.php
with newer setup option in bottom three bottom boxes.

Brian,
That was fast. More choices!
Hope you managed to get your wife's new Mac up and running!

wife mac yes and i havent seen her all afternoon so must be alright

be careful shifting modules into default wind based areas they update every 10 seconds so as you have it barometer would be updating every ten seconds and unlikely the barometer would shift that much in 10seconds unless its an extreme event ,also beware of positioning rain module in wind default positions you would again trigger notifications every 10 seconds if they were enabled , the rain module ive seen some position into the wind areas and unless its an extreme event i cant see rain tipping every ten seconds. bit of wasted server resource .so be careful ..brian

Ok. I didn't realize the update positions. So, 4,5 and 6 should always be wind.
Thanks,
Chuck

How do I know at which position the module is updated. Wouldn't it be better to assign the update cycle to the module or is this only valid for testing small modules?

in the perfect world yes but as advised above wind positions by default use 10seconds as that is probably the most frequent changeable data you see on average .its also about preserving server resources some uses dont have hosting packages that allow high useage of resources. if we all use the same then we have a perfect world . then we dont all use identical hardware those using fine offset clones dont have same update rates we get on our davis hardware .its all about trying to find a reasonable balance for all . but my advice is leave the wind modules in there default position but the choice is always there for the end user. ps i have mine at 5 seconds for wind because i dont use the API structure but educating users on how to add 172 different values would be a complete mess and the support requirement would go through the roof. but i get your point just we dont have the perfect world just yet.. brian

One suggestion. Currently, when you click on Charts or Almanac from the main screen, both show the Moon module at the bottom. Perhaps one of these could show the Indoor Module freeing up one on the Main screen.
PS - I see you have your Air Quality sensor up and running.

ok, but can you possibly add a small number in the setup interface for the time in s, on which position which update cycle is on?
Would that be possible, I was not aware that the update times depend on the module location position.

air quality yes as you know i built it myself and finished the outside casing for it yesterday not sure how accurate it is has i have nothing to compare it with locally , nearest known air quality sensor i know of is some 15km away but its positioned right in the heart of heavily used traffic area which is quite opposite to living here by the sea. but it was interesting to put it together .
toto not sure i follow do you mean you want interval options for each module ? if so thats quite a task and means many new additional options required to be set . latest simple update removes the option of placing any wind related module outside of position 4,5,6 i can see how some have their barometer or other non frequent data updating every ten seconds without any value change and in some i see wind updating only every 60 seconds due to positioning in a position designed for say dewpoint . i do think i know where your going but it is a considerable rewrite due to the number of modules made available. but the underlying reason is better to preserve server resources, i have seen some host shut down sites due to overloading resources this commonly i see happen when multiple templates of various types are all simultaneously trying to process a function be it mysql, conversion of a file, reproduce graphs and so on . generally a host wont warn you until you notice a message when you access your site(s) and then your forced too reduce the high resource use especially low cost shared hosting packages .
as always your thoughts , ideas are not ignored just sometimes things are done or compromised for a reason not always so apparent for all.brian

Thanks Brian, I don't want any new options or redevelopment from you. I'm just looking at it from a user's point of view and it's not obvious at the moment why you shouldn't place this or that module anywhere, just because you need to know that there's another refresh value in that place.

Brian,
Yes, I had the same problem. The closest one to me is 30 miles away. We often have forest fires inland (20 miles) during the dry season and my AQI sensor always picks those up. It will also jump up if someone, close by, is using a wood fireplace or large outdoor Grill.
Great idea to combine your AQI and indoor sensor reading.
