I just received my TL-MR3040 and am attempting to connect to it for the first time. Theoretically, the IP address of the 3040 is 192.168.0.1. My all-Mac household runs on IP addresses of 10.0.1.XXX so my Mac doesn't "see" the 3040.
The 3040 is connected via Ethernet cable to the 8-port Ethernet Switch which is connected upstream to an Apple Airport Time Capsule/Router which is what hands out DHCP addresses.
I was under the impression that pushing the reset button on the 3040 would restart it, then it would pick up an IP address handed out by the Apple Airport DHCP server, thereby putting it on the same network as everything else. But this doesn't appear to be working.
I also have Windows 7 running in a VMware virtual machine and it sees the 3040 at 192.168.0.1 (other attached items in the 10.0.1.xxx range), but I can't figure out a way to tell the 3040 to accept a 10.0.1.xxx IP address from the DHCP server.
I've search all over the Meteobridge board, but can't find a solution to this problem, so I'm stuck without even getting started.
Any and all help appreciated!

You will need a spare switch, not connected to anything else.Ladd wrote:I just received my TL-MR3040 and am attempting to connect to it for the first time. Connect the tl3040 and a macbook to the switch.
Give your macbook an addres 192.168.0.2. Netmask 255.255.255.0
Then you can communicate in your own private are.
After flashing you should both reconnect to your normal lan/wan

Would it work if I connected the 3040 directly to the Mac via Ethernet cable?
