trouble posting to weather underground

I am running an eval license, which could be the issue, but I signed up with WU and am having zero success posting. I originally had a long, generated password with numbers and punctuation, and when the log said that wasn't working I searched the forum and came across a posting where someone else complained that a complex password wasn't working, and they changed the password to remove symbols and it worked. I tried the same thing, and it still didn't work. The log file complains that the station id or password are incorrect. I then changed the password to a rather short one with just alpha characters, but still am not having any success.

What's next to try?

Error #1 is not using the WU station ID but the user name used for login to their web pages.
What station ID are you using?

Having disabled WU yesterday after failing to get it going, I re-enabled it this evening, and now it appears to be working.

It would be helpful to know if there are any restrictions on the password data that meteohub handles, either in character set or length. Thanks.
