Davis interface options

Hi all. About to purchase a Davis 6163 with plans on using Meteohub via one of my space Pis.

Simple question: What options do I have to extract the data from the console? Is the Davis Weatherlink hardware the only way to interface the Pi to the console, shy of using an independent receiver like a meteostick?

yes, you need the Davis logger (or Meteostick).
Console does not directly connect to any PC hardware.
