Hi,
New to meteobridge and very impressed. Wireless VP2 with 2 slave Vue consoles connected via Ethernet to meteobridge (MR3020) from Prodata.
Everything working fine with e-mail alerts, ftp and sql uploads BUT this is all installed in the race management tower of our sailing club for upload of weather data to our website and, although we are using an Ethernet connection to our BT router (and WLAN option is deselected on meteobridge) we are getting about 5 seconds interference every minute or so on our vhf marine radio sets (161.425MHZ). Unplug meteobridge and all OK, so not the wireless VP2 causing it. Plug in meteobridge and after about 1 minute the interference starts again.
I presume from this that the wifi component of meteobridge is polling even though we do not want it on - any way to stop this, or have I got to enclose the meteobridge in an earthed metal box ??

Re: Meteobridge interfering with marine vhf radio
I can't say how underlying openwrt is handling the wifi module, when WLAN is deselected. Sorry, no idea.

This can also be caused by cheap Ethernet cables, especially if they're located near the antenna feed for the radio. If you can locate some shielded cables that may help. Unplugging the Ethernet cable while the meteobridge remains powered on should tell you if it is the culprit.
