Hi Boris,
i´v set up a Pi2 and want to migrate from Alix. Problem: My VP2 has RS232 Connection, tried to connect via USB-232 Converter but failed.
So i connected a TTL->RS232 Level Shifter to get a normal RS232.
But when i boot up, no serial is detected:
USB seriell keine
USB HID keine.
Could you implement it in the Code? /dev/ttyS0 port should be available.
thx,
Lentas
You can enter it manually at the weather station settings. Adding this to the drop down
list will confuse hundreds of users selecting this and not having a home-brew adapter like yours.
crw-rw---- 1 root tty 204, 64 Jun 4 11:08 /dev/ttyAMA0
I use it for a serial console connection via a TTL to USB adapter. If ,you want to use a serial console there are a few other config items that need editing also.

@boris, seems clear, but probably i´m not the only vp2 owner with this prob. anyway.
@ alaskaWX: your hint ttyAMA0 was the right one... seems rpi2 and vp2 are talking, but in the end there´s a timeout. do i have to change baudrates etc? keep in mind, i only tried the meteohub gui, no other things like putty, but could do so. here´s some log.
