Cannot Access System Tab **solved**

Post by possumbelly1 »

A few days ago my station (Davis w/ meteostick) stopped reporting during some bad weather. I've tried cycling the power without success. So I did a reset to factory settings. This is a purchased meteobridge (MR3020). After the reset, I entered all my settings again. All seemed to be working as I could see all my live data. However, every time I click on the system tab to finish, it crashes and I have to do another reset to get back into the setup screens.

Please Advise.

If I try and log into the system via my meteobridge ip, I get the following "The CGI process did not produce any response". So, I did a reset to factory settings by holding the button for 5 flashes. I can then log in via my meteobridge ip. I go through all the settings, I can see my live data both outside and inside sensors. When I go the the "system" tab to save and apply I get the "The CGI process did not produce any response" every time. I've tried at least 10 times already.

So, I went to the cloud configure and downloaded my settings, did another hard reset, power down and insert usb, power up. nothing. I get the "The CGI process did not produce any response" when I go to meteobridge ip address.

I can get into openwrt every time. network seems to be fine. I can ping from inside openwrt.

Don't know what else to try.

Looks like a reverse DNS issue. Will be fixed with next update.

Any work-around until then?

What is the time line for the update?

Now everything is working except I cannot get it to connect to weather underground. I even added a new station and tried resetting my password. Weather For You works fine.

weather underground error pasted below

2015-11-08 06:54:22 Error: wget: unable to resolve host address 'rtupdate.wunderground.com' (no more tries)

Any ideas on this one?

Your router is not providing a reliable DNS server via DHCP.
You can work-around this by setting IP, mask, Gateway and DNS manually.
Google DNS 8.8.8.8 is recommended.
