solar

Post by andresegea »

Morning,
I have a ambient weather observer IP with a D-LINK DIR-505 REV. A1 (meteobridge firm) it works fine, and I am very glad with it.
I send data directly to WU with the firm of ambient, I can see in the page of WU de solar radiation perfectly for example :500w/m2, but in the data of meteobridge I have realised that it measures in units until 10: 6w/qm, I do not know whats is that unit.
I would apreciate, if you could give me a solution.
thanks in advance and best regards.

"qm" = "Quadratmeter" = square-meter aka meters-squared. "qm" is not an internationally recognized designation for meters-squared, but apparently used particularly in Germany.

https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Quadratmeter

You might also see it as "w/sm" where "sm" = "square meter".
And of course as "w/m2" when a superscript font is not available.

So the MeteoBridge and MeteoHub are showing watts/meters-squared on their "Live" tab.

Actually, I can see my data directly in my Ambient ip and directly in the meteobridge; Into the Ambient ip there are three fields. (in reference to solar measures)
Solar Radiation = 417 (it is just now).
UV= 1086
UVI = 3
when I see in the meteobridge I only can find 2
UV = 3.0uvindex
Solar = 3 W/qm (=UVI = ultaviolet index)
so, It doesn't matter the metric method; I am not seeing the solar radiation in the meteobridge and I would like
thanks

Can you please give me access to your Meteobridge, so that I can check this?
Here is described how to do so: viewtopic.php?f=57&t=9885
