Possible bug: MB Pro export data file

Post by chrysnic »

Hi all,

Since the first 3 March update, the daily file exported (Data Export) by my MB Pro at 00:15 (with the previous day's data, at minute-resolution interval) generates a file twice as large as usual (150 KB, instead of 74 KB), with 4320 lines, instead of 1440. The log says:

"export (05.03.2016 00:15:10): generated 4320 lines to file: standard-iso-20160304-min.txt"

Basically, the first 1440 lines of the file contain the same text (each line has the same text):

"# Standard CSV template with data in metric units"

The next 1440 lines have the symbol "#" printed on each line.

And the final 1440 lines contain the actual weather data.

Thanks,

chrysnic

That has something to do with the change in comment symbol. Try putting the $ symbol in front of the comment lines.

Also it appears new firmware updates overwrite/replace/update the templates. If you have changed a standard template then best to copy and rename. However in this case the file/system formatting has also been modified but would expect this to be a rare event?

the standard templates are restore to original value on each reboot.
Therefore, your recommendation to make copies when you want to change things is a good one.
