MB Pro wasn't completely booting

Something I noticed this morning was the messages entry were 4 days ago (not normal), which was when the unit was last re-booted (Version control was - use installed version which was ~ April 5). The display showed the Smartbedded log, Lic but instead of the IP the loading bar (in full) was still displayed, live data appeared to be up to date and panel lights appeared ok, did a re-boot with same settings and got exactly the same outcome, re-booted with get newest on boot (April 9) and display is now as expected, message log reflecting the operation.
