HTTP Port# other than defualt 80

Post by Mattk »

Could MB have an option to allow a user input port# for HTTP other than the standard/default 80?

On remote routers with WLIP, Port 80 has to be forwarded if one wants to connect/forward direct to the logger web page so then unable to forward to the MB. I realize not a lot of WLIP options to configure but sometimes there is a need to stop the standard WeatherLink.com upload. Remote access works ok but this would give another network option.

Most routers provide translating of ports in combination with port forwarding.
By this the external port shown to the WAN can be different (like 8080) while
in the LAN it is still 80 for the Meteobridge IP.

You can also use the remote login feature of Meteobridge which does not use
port forwarding of your router at all.

Yes have no issues accessing the Pro web/config pages via the remote link or DNS & Port forwarding using 8080 (router) and 80 (default) for Pro but how can I get into \\MBPro-IP\Data\ remotely so as to modify, add new templates etc
