As you are currently on version 2.8 you only can go back to versions before 2.8 from there, or to "newest". Reason is that version 2.8 did not know of newer versions and the version control is hard coded into each of the releases.
When you select "newest" and reboot, then you have a full list of currently available releases. May be a bit complicated, but this is how it works.
"newest" was already selected and image shows what I saw right after a reboot -> uptime 2 minutes and using 2.8 so "stick to version.." was not selected.
I will try another reboot when I'm back at work.

I tried rebooting (two times) (have vpn-access) the Meteobridge and made sure that "Get newest on boot" was selected and still see the same, only up to version 2.7 and version 2.8 is loaded.
Okay this is what fixed it: I choose "Stick to version 2.7" and rebooted the MeteoBridge. MeteoBridge loaded with version 2.7. This version could not find my station. Choose "Get newest.." and rebooted. MeteoBridge rebooted and loaded newest version. Running fine. "Something" must have been locked up.
