FTP upload file time is wrong

Post by paravis »

Hello,

When uploading a template using FTP, the saved file time is set for UTC, and not for the local time. (So, in our case, the file modification/creation time is 8 hours ahead.)

Is there any way to fix this?

Thanks!

Depends on the FTP server. Used "ncftpput" tool has an option "-y" to preserve time stamps of uploaded files, but this is told to work only with a limited set of FTP servers. I would not like to use this command, when it will throw errors on other FTP servers. Is correct time of uploaded files of such interest in your setup?

It's not really a big deal to me for the file timestamp to be accurate to the time zone.

However, when using the Saratoga templates (I think), it does show that the data file is from the future. I actually can't find where I noticed this at ...

Like I said, this is definitely not a big concern to me. I only figured it would be something you might want to adjust for any potential issue that it may cause for some possible FTP use cases.

Thanks!
