Error/not displaying DASHBOARD and std-graphs ** solved **

Post by thommyse »

Hi
moved my WMR100 and Meteohub-unit to our summerhouse. Has been there for about 14days mow
As I can see data is written to Meteohub as normallly. Now I have installed my Laptop and connected Meteohub. Works OK and I can see that data is logging as it should.
BUT dashboard (same as earlier)display is not completed.

Image

also all the Standard grafh only displaying "text"

IS there any place I can look for errormessages,
could it it be LAN-problems or what ?

during recomputation of time-compacted data (after a reboot or software install, for example) not all values for historical data are available.

If this is the reason it will cure itself during the day.

Thx for your answer, but this is not the reason.
I have had (the Dashboard) running for more than a day, same problem. Recalculated (thru the Maintenance-page)all the historical data. Also rebooted the NSLU, waited for for 24hours, but still the same problem.

I would rule out that is has something to do with samba's pc network sharing.

looks like time-compacted data cannot be produced as expected. are there any messages in the "meteohub log" log file?

No irrellevant messages within "Meteohub log"

Actions taken so far

Disconnect WMR100 fromn Meteohub
Replaced batteries (wind/temp and rain) + reset
Reset WMR100
Installed the latest MeteohubSW 2.4b
Connected WMR100
Did "Weather Data Recomputation" (just to be sure)
Logged in again to Meteohub
Started Dashboard (information still missing)
Waited 4hours , but still problems with Dashboard

Tomorrow I will

Backup my data
Reinitialise my USB-stick
And then see what happens

Goodnight

any chance for me to login to your system? would need access to ports 7777 and 22.

moving the nslu2 could have made bad time stamps for new logged data when powering up the NSLU2 again. Some units don't have their hw clock well buffered with a battery. Does the unit correctly show date and time?

just guessing...

back again in the forum, but not with any good news

reinstalled (complete included formatting usb-stick)
first v2.3
then update with version 2.4b
made adjustments (wmr100, sensors, ip-adress etc)to meteohub
reboot meteohub
the meteohub has been up and running since 13:00
tried dashboard now at 23:00
same result as before, only difference is that the month-value now is missing (makes sense because earlier there were values collected from my "original"/old collecting )

now your questions:
the clock / date is correct shown in WMR100

for the moment its not possible for you to login
i do have a dynamic internetadress, and must first establish an "alias" with for example dyn-dns
trying to fix it tomorrow

Goodnight

Took some time but now I´m back

Borrowed a router from a friend
Installed it, and started Meteohub.
Same problem with "Dashboard" as before

BUT!!!!
Then I noticed that I had forgotten to enter Longitude and Latitude (after my reinstallation of meteohub-USB-stick )
Entered these values and hit "Save"
An automatic rescheduling of weatherdata was initiated, and after that was done, "Dashboard" suddenly displayed normally !
IS THIS REALLY THRUE ?
Or was it anything else that triggered the accumulated values to be shown........

any comments ?

I am having the *exact same issue*. The grahs just come up as a mess of text, probably the source of the script. Plus the dashboard has all zeros except the current conditions.

I am using a Vantage Pro2. Everything seems to work and the current conditions are updating and everything, but the dashboard and graphs just won't work!

Please help!!

Chris

PS - my latitude and longitude are set properly, and I have upgraded to the newest firmware.

please go to the "sensors" page and press save to register all sensors that a shoen there. This initiates a recomputation of data. after 15 minutes that should be done.

now graphs and dashboard are expected to work.

if not, please send a screen shot of the graph definition. When you get messages like "no y-points found" that indicates that meteohub does not find the data you are looking for in the given time period.

I'll try re-saving the sensor page again, but I think I've already tried this.

Here's what the graph says:

Code: Select all

plot '< /srv/www/cgi-bin/goto.cgi th0-min10 20080708000000' using 1:2 axis x1y1 title "Temperatur" with lines linecolor rgb "#ff0000", '< /srv/www/cgi-bin/goto.cgi th0-min10 20080708000000' using 1:5 axis x1y1 title "Taupunkt" with lines linecolor rgb "#00c000", '< /srv/www/cgi-bin/goto.cgi thb0-min10 20080708000000' using 1:11 axis x1y2 title "Luftdruck" with lines linecolor rgb "#0080ff" ^ "/tmp/meteogjFnd9", line 35: warning: Skipping data file with no valid points Error open th0-min10: No such file or directory Error open th0-min10: No such file or directory plot '< /srv/www/cgi-bin/goto.cgi th0-min10 20080708000000' using 1:2 axis x1y1 title "Temperatur" with lines linecolor rgb "#ff0000", '< /srv/www/cgi-bin/goto.cgi th0-min10 20080708000000' using 1:5 axis x1y1 title "Taupunkt" with lines linecolor rgb "#00c000", '< /srv/www/cgi-bin/goto.cgi thb0-min10 20080708000000' using 1:11 axis x1y2 title "Luftdruck" with lines linecolor rgb "#0080ff" ^ "/tmp/meteogjFnd9", line 35: warning: Skipping data file with no valid points Error open thb0-min10: No such file or directory Error open thb0-min10: No such file or directory plot '< /srv/www/cgi-bin/goto.cgi th0-min10 20080708000000' using 1:2 axis x1y1 title "Temperatur" with lines linecolor rgb "#ff0000", '< /srv/www/cgi-bin/goto.cgi th0-min10 20080708000000' using 1:5 axis x1y1 title "Taupunkt" with lines linecolor rgb "#00c000", '< /srv/www/cgi-bin/goto.cgi thb0-min10 20080708000000' using 1:11 axis x1y2 title "Luftdruck" with lines linecolor rgb "#0080ff" ^ "/tmp/meteogjFnd9", line 35: warning: Skipping data file with no valid points plot '< /srv/www/cgi-bin/goto.cgi th0-min10 20080708000000' using 1:2 axis x1y1 title "Temperatur" with lines linecolor rgb "#ff0000", '< /srv/www/cgi-bin/goto.cgi th0-min10 20080708000000' using 1:5 axis x1y1 title "Taupunkt" with lines linecolor rgb "#00c000", '< /srv/www/cgi-bin/goto.cgi thb0-min10 20080708000000' using 1:11 axis x1y2 title "Luftdruck" with lines linecolor rgb "#0080ff" ^ "/tmp/meteogjFnd9", line 35: all points y value undefined! Re-saving the sensor page worked! Everything is coming up on the dashboard now. I haven't checked the graphs, but I'm sure they work now as well.

This issue is still happening on and off.

I upgraded to 2.6 recently and it seems to have gotten worse.

The graphs almost never display properly, I always have to go back and save the sensor page again.

What is the deal? For a couple days, the meteohub was losing power almsot nightly, could this be part of the problem? Shouldn't the logging and recomputations start up automatically?
