MB very slow to see Davis sensors

Post by azchrisf »

I have a new Vantage Pro 2 system.
The console is receiving data from the sensors OK, but the MB seems to be "slow".
The sensors take a long time to be picked up.

I have a Sensor transmitter kit on the roof for my UV, Solar & Anenmometer (Station 1, set as ISS), and the Temp/Hum and Rain Gauge on it's own ISS (Station 2, set as ISS). The Temp/Hum/Rain Gauge is not detected at first, or for quite awhile, but gets picked up sometimes, sometimes not, and when it does it is very slow to be picked up.

Anything that can be done?

So you say your Davis console is receiving sensor data from 2 transmitters both config's as an ISS?

No, the Meteobridge. The console won't accept a config like that, that's the point of the Meteobridge.
I believe I know what is going on after reading some more documentation on how MB handles the sensors.
It also appears it works much the same way as the console, it takes a minute or two for the sensors to re-sync before data appears.
Too used to a cabled console to MB LOL.

US stations run through 52 different frequencies. Therefore, it is normal that it takes a 2 minutes until Meteobridge can sync.
Davis console needs similar time to sync first time.
