If every other pass through the display sequence was a negative image (black swapped with white), all of the pixels would get used equally, and therefor wear equally.
Too late for my display, it is already badly burned in.
Idea to minimize screen burn in...

So that would mean it might last twice as long but still burn out?
Are you running with the screen on and if so is it necessary?

If the screen is used, it will eventually wear out. Inverting the video on every other display sequence would at least cause uniform wear across the screen, so the whole screen would get dimmer uniformly rather than have images of other screens overlaying the current image.
What is the point of having the screen if you must leave it blank all the time to prevent burn in? Might as well not have one than not use it.
With the current burn in it is getting harder to read the screen.

Abut the only time I have the screen on is for setup or other limited functions otherwise I simply run with it off all the time. I don't see the screen as a primary display device when compared to the capability of the entire box.
