Meteobridge Connection For Weatherlink Software
I have just set up my Meteobridge Pro using the ethernet connection. I can see live data. I also have the weatherlink software on my computer but now it cannot retrieve data. I starts to download it then is interrupted. Is there a setting somewhere i need to configure in order to retrieve the data? I'm not sure if i should be looking in the Meteobridge or the Weatherlink software.
Thank you

Re: Meteobridge Connection For Weatherlink Software
When Meteobridge PRO is reading data from Vantage sensors via its internal RF receiver it will not interfere with your Davis console/envoy and attached data logger. Therefore, I don't get your point.
Re: Meteobridge Connection For Weatherlink Software
Thank you for your reply. As i understand it thye Meteobridge is getting data directly from my Vantage Pro 2. I have the Meteobridge connected to the LAN via ethernet cable and it has an IP address. For some reaon with the Meteobridge on the Weatherlink software will not download data. If i power the meteobridge off the Weaterlink can download data.
Re: Meteobridge Connection For Weatherlink Software
Sounds like WLIP config is not setup properly in Meteobridge? Bit hard to gauge the actual config? Do you have a screeshot of the MBPro Station tab?

Mattk,
I have attached a screenshot of the station tab...
Thank you

Re: Meteobridge Connection For Weatherlink Software
First try changing the IP (WL upload 1 min) to IP (WL upload 5 min) and try accessing the IP logger from the WeatherLink PC software.
What this option is doing is MBPro is giving temporary priority for the WLIP to upload to WeatherLink.com every 1 minute and as the WLIP can only handle 1 direct connection the MBPro allows this window before resuming.

Re: Meteobridge Connection For Weatherlink Software
Arh ok I see some more of what's going on.
My impression now is you are using a WLIP and MBPro both on Ethernet and you are NOT using the RF capability of the MBPro? If so then uncheck the box that says "Use internal RF receiver" and Save etc.

Re: Meteobridge Connection For Weatherlink Software
Mattk,
I have deselected the RF capability and the Meteobridge is getting data via ethernet. The only way i can get Weatherlink to download without an error is do disconnect the Meteobridge from the network. I'll have to have a play I think.
Thank you
Rob

Re: Meteobridge Connection For Weatherlink Software
Rob, Try the 5 minute upload option as it gives more space between WeatherLink.com uploads. In regard WL downloads with MB then in WeatherLink software set the Communication port to download via the Web Download (using the WL.com user ID & password). WIth this there will be data available to download every hour direct from WeatherLink.com.
Another way around this is to setup MBPro for RF and then WeatherLink software won't have to wait for MBPro to release control, just depends on the distance between your MBPro and ISS, then another option if distance is an issue is to re-transmit from the console/Envoy to the MBPro.

Re: Meteobridge Connection For Weatherlink Software
Mattk,
After a couple of reboots it seems to be working at the moment, I shall see over the next 12 hours.
I'll give your suggestions a try also and report back.
Thank you so much

Re: Meteobridge Connection For Weatherlink Software
I am not sure if this is the problem, but the WLIP data logger cannot be used by the Meteobridge and your PC running weatherlink in parallel. Meteobridge gives the WLIP logger some pause every 1 or 5 minutes to upload data itself to the Davis servers, but this is not meant as a pause to have the weatherlink program on the PC to step in. When you want to run your PC program in parallel to Meteobridge you can try to use Meteobridge as a proxy of the WLIP logger. This can be done by directing your PC program to port 22222 of the Meteobridge IP.
Another way would be not to use the WLIP with Meteobridge PRO but to tell Meteobridge PRO to read RF data from the Davis sensors directly. This way your PC can work with the WLIP without any interference with the Meteobridge.
