How to connect via SMB from Windows 7

Post by websign »

Hi everyone, I have a problem.
I have a Meteobridge Pro RF connected wireless to my modem/router and a Windows 7 Professional SP1 PC.
I tried to access SMB at meteobridge, but without success.
My PC pings meteobridge IP with no problems, I can access to the meteobridge from web browsers without problems.
I also tried through a file explorer of my android smartphone connected to the same wifi network, but nothing.
On the meteobridge System options I have activated the "SMB guest".
Sometimes the meteobridge is present in my network resources, but I can not get in.

Can someone give me some advice?

Thanks :)

bye bye

If you have things config'd ok then
\\your.mbpro.ip\data
(Note the back slash)
in the "Start>Search programs and files" box

Nothing :-(

On network windows I have the following: https://gyazo.com/58de75bacab2ea4d2f57798180941a57

When I click on METEOBRIDGE resources after a few seconds I get error 0x80070035

I have also disabled my firewall, nothing changes, same error.

All pc on the network have the same windows workgroup value: WORKGROUP. The meteobridge too.

I have test 445 and 137/139 ports for the meteobridge IP, they are all open.

I installed another router without an internal firewall. But nothing.

Now I have the doubt that it is a problem of the meteobridge :(

And now an error appear when I accept license or when I save system options:

How old is your MBPro then? Could be the USB stick?

Ignore the message, this is just a quirk introduced with a firmware update and solved in latest update. There is nothing wrong with your HW.

some reading ahead: viewtopic.php?f=61&t=12804&p=24941#p24941

I would say it is related to the personal firewall settings on your Windows 7 box.
Please switch that off for a moment and try again. When it works, you now where to go deeper.

BTW: SMB needs port 445 (TCP) and 137 (UDP and TCP), 138 (UDP), 139 (TCP).
