FTDI USB-RS485 Interface

I have had a FTDI Chipped USB-RS$485 interface cable fail after about 3 months connecting an MBPro to Lufft.

Is anybody using any specific FTDI chipped USB-RS485 interfaces that have ran for an extended time with a proven heavy duty cycle?
