Weather Network Status **solved**

Post by G4MHJ »

On the Live Data tab I have the following:

I don't now require Ambient Weather so is there a way of deleting the entry or will it disappear over time?

Can't you simply delete this from the Weather Nets? Or does Ambient lock/hardwire their versions of the Pro to their own server via a separate MAC?

I had thought of that but it doesn't show Ambient on the screen with all the other used systems with green ticks.

When I go to the 'Add More Weather Networks' - Ambient appears in the list.

Trying out what Ambient had to offer was a mistake for me and is not needed.

EDIT: I have now contacted Ambient and they confirm that they have de-linked my MAC device (MB PRO) and that my account with them has been deleted. Currently, the RED CROSS is still showing after a reboot.

So you problem is to get rid of the red cross? You deselected the ambient service on "weather station" Tab?

I never added Ambient to the "Station" tab as I have a Davis VP2. I added a new Weather Nets for Ambient after I have opened an account with them. I gave them my MAC code and then decided it wasn't for me (it never appeared to work anyway). The screen with the Red Cross is as in my previous post.

I then got in touch with Ambient asking for a removal of the link to my MAC as well as closing my unused account.

It's not a big deal having the Red Cross but I had hoped it would disappear.

Ok then so if you added Ambient to the Weather Nets page what is stopping you from going to the Weather nets page and in the Ambient weather Network box Upload Interval box drop down select "no upload" then Save?

Doing that removed the Live Data red cross and entry.

Thanks for your help.
