NanoSD shows Rain rate, so it's not showing on the live data or history tab then?

checked again today as its rains and nanoSD does not see first rainRate occurrence.
Its happends when there is like one "tick" rain in some time so then I have 0.2mm rain but no rain rate for that time.
Today when I have continues rain fall there is no problem.

hello i forgot to mention this last week the nanosd does not record a rainrate e.g 0.2mm on the first occurrence first tip or start of rain for that period it kicks in on second tip for that rain period . i wish i had taken a screenshot in charts you could clearly see the first tip had no rain rate . perhaps tomorrow i can highlight clearly what bardek is pointing out as rain is forecasted .brian

ha bit of luck just started raining just now.. this highlights the no rain rate on first tip of period..however would it be rate/time between two occurrences in a period?

0.2mm (1 tip) for a Davis station does not constitute a rain event, Davis requires 0.4mm to define a rain event, the nano(SD) no doubt conforms to this Davis convention, Rain rate requires the timing between successive tips which can only be calculated between at least 2 tips, or 0.4mm in metric terms. 1 tip in terms of rain rate has no meaning.
