none of my other wireless devices see any connectivity issues. when I login to the nano, I never ever see nothing I always log into the nano without any lag waiting 5 minutes of anything like this, so why is the nano complaining it has no WLAN or internet.
what is this batch file trying to do? does it need to ping something on the internet? I cannot understand why this device and no other is logging something that is not actually existing.
I can ping anything on the internet from an ssh session on the nano, so what is this check actually doing.
Looking at my Unifi Cloud Key I see the following.
WPA Authentication Timeout/Failure 49
this would suggest one of my devices is not correctly authenticating itself.
on research from unifi forums one of the admins said this:
WPA Authentication Timeout/Failure counts the number of times the WPA authentication process did not complete with a successful authentication of the client device, for any of a number of reasons, this can include a client device supplied an incorrect WPA security key.
With DHCP timeouts/failures, this counts number of times a client tried to acquire a DHCP lease, but the process did not complete. If a client sends a DHCP discover or request and no offer or ack is received on that AP it is counted as a DHCP timeout.
In general, I wouldn't be overly concerned with values in these fields unless they are extreme- and in any case, I would focus on practical symptoms/network issues and if you find a case of a client who can't connect to Wi-Fi and you see the WPA Authentication failures ticking up as they attempt- this may give us a better idea of what is going on
now, I have never seen there timeouts until I owned a nano, so something is amiss with the connectivity.
My password for my wifi is 23 characters long, perhaps this is the issue? not sure but non of my other wifi devices have this issue.
I am also seeing ICMP error messages from my Nano to DNS servers outside of my network.
I have attached a log_view file of the errors seen on my Sophos Firewall.
no other internal device shows this behavior at this alarming rate.
more info, My DHcp server and firewall is behind another router, just passing through all data. (double NAT'd) does this make any difference?
