Hello guys,
First post here for me
I've an issue trying to upload the webcam snapshot on my page : http://ik2rgt.altervista.org/PWS/index.php
First of all, this is the setup I use:
- Davis VP2 wireless
- Meteobridge
- Weather34 template
- IP Camera: HikVision 2CD2032-I
Assuming that the url of the ip camera looks like this: http://<username>:<password>@<address>:<httpport>/Streaming/Channels/1/picture
what are the steps to follow in order to obtain the snapshot in my link : http://ik2rgt.altervista.org/PWS/cam.php ?
I'll appreciate any help
Thanks in advance!
Emanuel

Re: IP cam snapshot upload problem
FWIW, here's what I do:
- In the MeteoBridge "Weather Station" tab, in the "Meteobridge Weather Cam" section, select "External Picture" and configure the URL to get to my webcam still image - you'd put your URL (http://<username>:<password>@<address>:<httpport>/Streaming/Channels/1/picture) in the text box.
- In the MB "Weather Network" page, add the "Meteobridge Weather Camera" service, and configure it to Upload every 5 minutes, and select a template (you'll need to do a little trial and error for this).
- Click on the camera lens icon (or the camera lens icon with "text") to see the image that has been uploaded to Meteobridge.com for you. This is the URL you will put into the Weather34 template (this way, your user ID and password isn't exposed outside of your home LAN, and the picture is available from anywhere)
Re: IP cam snapshot upload problem
Thank you SANdood,
I tried your steps but it seems that it doesn't work
I'm wondering if anyone else has an "non Ubiquity" IP cam and what are the settings......

Re: IP cam snapshot upload problem
this is not really a Meteobridge issue. you need to look at where the path is for the image on your IP cam. all cams have different paths.

Re: IP cam snapshot upload problem
Hello again
it was a little bit tricky for me but the steps suggested by SANdood are ok, at least for me.
Now (fingers crossed
) I yhink averybody can see the page including the webcam, here : http://ik2rgt.altervista.org/
The ip cam is not perfectly horizontal
but I'll fix it in the next future
It is mounted on the top of my ham radio antenna tower and can be turned because it follows the antenna pointing
More info about the ham radio setup here: https://www.qrz.com/db/IK2RGT
So, thanks to SANdood and ConligWX for the answers and let me know if it's all ok
All the best
