I just set up meteobridge two days ago. My station is a Davis VantageVue and I'm connecting to a meteobridge-flashed D-Link DIR-505 through a Davis 6510 WeatherLink USB Data Logger via a USB 2.0 hub. Flashing and set up went well, and everything seemed to be working fine until a scheduled reboot of my wireless router. I am running an ASUS RT-AC66R router with Merlin LTS Fork firmware. I schedule a router reboot daily at 1:00 AM local. After the reboot, meteobridge gives "console is not responding" errors. Rebooting meteobridge restores the connection to the station and everything is fine until the next scheduled reboot. I've tried manually rebooting the router a couple of times, and metobridge has no problem with that for some reason. If I can't solve this problem before my trial license expires I guess I'll have to give up since the system is useless to me if it can't handle scheduled router reboots. I hope there is a solution since I'm very pleased otherwise with the meteobridge functionality.

Console not responding after router reboot

Re: Console not responding after router reboot
This may be a specific hardware or setup thing? I have a daily auto router reboot with no issues running and MB, MBPro and Nano which do notice and message the router is rebooting but kicks straight back in once the router is back up.
Re: Console not responding after router reboot
I tried step 1 of the WeatherLink data logger trouble shooting advice which was to put the console in setup mode and completely power it down (unplug AC and remove batteries) while leaving the data logger connected. This was probably the first time in over three years the console has been powered down. I powered it back up, went through the metobridge setup process again, and last night meteobridge reconnected with the console after the scheduled router reboot just fine. It's too soon to tell whether the problem is solved, or if there is some random issue like interruption while data is being transmitted or something like that.
If the issue should return, what do you think about scheduling a daily meteobridge reboot in OpenWRT to occur after my router reboot? Of course I don't really know how to do that but I'll figure it out.
