strange rain total

Hi,
Today I noticed a strange reading for the rain total: 0,3mm. This should not be possible, since the Davis VP2 is set to 0,2mm and there is a multiplier of 1,05 (No, I'm sure it is not 1,5 ) set in the station setup. This behaviour was not present before, in july I had readings of 0,2 mm. Updatet to V4.0 end of july.

Any clue what is going on there?

With a rain multiplier of 1.05 and as rain is xx.x mm then sounds like a rounding up?

Hi Matt,
thanks, but 0,2x1,05=0,21... So it cannot be that! The first number to be rounded up would be 1,2mmx1,05=1,26mm>1,3 mm. There seems to be something else going wrong!

Hi Matt,

I guess I was wrong in assuming the multiplier was used on the daily rain total. I think what you meant was this multiplication was done on the yearly rain total, am I right?
