Bad wind0(0) sensor data, "chill x10"

Post by K7RMK »

My TL-MR3020 is giving me an error about wind sensor data right after boot.

logger (03.10.2019 12:08:06): sensors are now providing data.
logger (03.10.2019 12:08:06): services started.
logger (03.10.2019 12:08:09): Bad wind0(0) sensor data, "chill x10" (-999) out of range [-700:1500]
logger (03.10.2019 12:08:51): message above repeats 6 times.

I don't get the error again at all until I reboot. Is this anything to worry about?

My anemometer is an Ecowitt WS68 and my station is the GW1000.

I have a suspicion that since my temperature sensor is separate and doesn't send data at intervals as fast as the anemometer, there is a brief moment at boot up where my TL-MR3020 has wind speed but no temperature information, so it can't calculate wind chill properly. But that's just a wild guess.

Yes, wind data is coming in but temp data is missing, so no calculation of windchill. Just ignore, on next interval both should be there.
