Alarm condition for weather networks status fail

Post by LEB »

I have a Meteobridge. I need to monitor when any of my weather network fails. Current setup under Live Data Weather Network Status
Weather Cloud: 2020-01-09 13:27:09 Success: 2020-01-09 13:27:09
Open Weather Map: 2020-01-09 13:30:17 Success: 2020-01-09 13:30:16
PWS Weather: 2020-01-09 13:30:19 Success: 2020-01-09 13:30:16
CWOP: 2020-01-09 13:30:23 Success: 2020-01-09 13:30:16

My thought was using the Email alarm conditions, but I do not see a variable available to do so. Any ideas on how to do this?

I recommend setting up AWEKAS. They have a notification alert you can set if you stop uploading as soon as 2 hours. Chances are that if you stop uploading to one service, then you have likely stopped uploading to all other sites too if the problem is on your end. That would be sufficient as an alert. The benefit this way is that the notification is not coming from your Meteobridge which likely would be suffering from either power outage, Internet outage, or other network or system failure and it would be impossible for a notification to originate from your side. You don't need a notification from each and every service. If there is a problem with only one individual service then there is likely nothing you can do as that site is suffering an outage and it will return whenever it does so there would be little reason for you to be notified in this case.
