Installation fails (does not start)

Post by useradema »

Hello,

I am new to Meteohub, but not new to Raspberry Pi.

I tried to install Meteohub on my new RPi 4B 4Gb. After inserting and starting the RPI nothing happens.
The red light comes on and stays on (no blinking). The green light doesn't blink at all.

A different SD card shows the same problem.

Download: mhrpi-v5.0s.img

Who can help me?

Kind regards
Alexander

The last model of RPi that is officially supported is the 3B. There is a mod called the Frankenkernal mod ( developed by a user not by Boris ) that will allow the use of the 3B+, but with limitations. I do not believe that Boris will ever update the Meteohub RPi software to support any of the newer models. You should consider the Weathbridge platform which uses a firmware file upload to various mobile routers which are very reasonably priced. They are much more versatile than the Meteohub platform and Boris is continuously upgrading and improving the software. There is an additional cost as the license needs to be renewed every two years to obtain further updates ( but at a lower cost than the original purchase ).
