Adding SD card to NANO loses all historical data.

Post by jasonmfarrow »

Having had a SD card die in my NanoSD (yes, it was approved Swissbit card), I got a new one. It installed fine.

However, all the live data year and month historical statistics are now zero (as in annual rainfall) or only show todays max/min.

I can't find a way to update the numbers to that as shown on the Vantage Vue Console.

In the Nano SD Station tab there is no way to copy the historical max/min from the console.

Does anyone know of a way to force a re-load of the historic data from the Vue Console or a way to override the max/min/totals in the NanoSD?
Regards
Jason

I'm trying a work around using the import direct option in history:
This *almost* works:

Code: Select all

1580515195 rain0total 75.41
1583020795 rain0total 81.3
1585695595 rain0total 50.9
1588287595 rain0total 52.6
1590965995 rain0total 2.3
It is the rain total at the end of every month updated. However the DB, after the import, shows 0.0mm not the values above.
Has anyone else done a direct import and had problems?
Regards
Jason

I also had my minmax and history lost a few months ago.(with normal MB and sw update)
Thankfully I run Cumulus parallel to MB and was able to convert the month files to importable file.
If you don't have any data as a importable file it is possible to make a excel file.
Also downloading historical data from WU can be an option.
I now use a Nano SD and make a back up file automatic every day.....
