software difference realtime.txt

Post by Ger »

I have two meteobridges (and stations) in use, both V1.4

But the templates realtime.txt are different.
This is the output from the good one:

29/06/20 12:35:06 20.2 58 11.7 4.5 4.9 245 0.0 1.0 1009.3 WSW 3 m/s C hPa mm - 0.6 66.0 81.6 0.0 25.2 41 20.0 1.3 21.3 11:14 13.9 05:32 4.9 11:56 10.7 12:24 1010.9 00:00 1008.2 06:10 1.8.7 819 10.3 20.2 - - - - 238 0.0 - 1 0 WSW 3400 ft - 0.0 912 0

and this from the bad one:

What am i doing wrong?

The first file looks like a space separated "Cumulus" realtime file
The second one looks like a Leuven or HWS type realtime file.

A Meteobridge uses
  • a template-file with "tags"
  • to generate a file with "values"
  • and upload that file with a name to the specified server.
File-names are just names , the contents of your two files have a different layout => so the contents of the template files are different.
Please check the contents of those two template files.

Thanks Wim, but both GUIs are different. In the wrong version i miss a field "select file for upload" and ín the "good one" I can choose the realtime.txt file.

In both versions you can set the link from the browser with which you tested first if that template-file is correct.
On a Nano/Pro you can store the template-file also on you local MB-disk, but wait with that for now.

It is easier testing to store the correct template file on one of your websites., give if a new name also f.i. "templ_rt_20200629.txt"
And use the same link with both MB's
If all is well and the both MB's are uploading correct translated files => then you copy the template file to your Nano
Keep the new name, otherwise make sure that that file-name is not used by some other script such as the built in Nano-weather34 dashboard

You then always have a backup of the template file, 1 is stored on your nano, the other one is stored on your website for the other MB

Sounds like you have a PRO or NANO SD (with the upload-selection drop-down) and another type of Meteobridge without local storage and without the drop-down option.

On non PRO or NANO SD you dont have any files on the Meteobridge. They need to be provided from a HTTP source.
