Davis Weatherlink Cloud - access for Nano(SD) **solved**

Post by jasonmfarrow »

In the current Meteobridge station templates there is a WLCloud option which, according to the documentation, takes raw data from an approved Davis logger and uploads to Weatherlink.com but not if you have a Meteobridge Nano.

With the ever expanding capabilities of the Meteobridge software to upload to more and more weather networks, is it not yet possible to support a meteobridge nano(SD) upload to Weatherlink cloud (weatherlink.com)?

As you can sign up for an account on weatherlink.com, eg. for the purposes of adding an Airlink AQI sensor, you can also add a Davis weather station and get and ID and KEY for your logger.

If the WLCloud template can take the raw data from the logger, which I assume is simply being passed-through to the hosted perl script via the Meteobridge, then what is the technical issue that stops a Meteobridge Nano from emulating the raw data in the first place?

My Nano already uploads for more then a year after the WLIP failed.

You need a valid DID (=mac address) but you can get one using weatherlink.exe and asking one with that program.

Then you setup the Meteobridge => tab Weather Nets => dropdown bottom last selection "Weatherlink Cloud"
