Problems with v4.4

Post by dathbe »

Hello,

Ever since the release of Meteobridge v4.4, I have been having problems.

First, when my network reboots (it has happened with a power outage and again when I replaced my cable modem), the meteobridge device will not reconnect to my weather station base (AmbientWeather ObserverIP). In 4.4, it appears to be set right. But if I downgrade to 4.3 it tells me I need to select my station again, and when I do everything works fine.

Second, (and the reason I thought to downgrade) is there is a menu problem with 4.4 that makes the dropdown menus push the body of the page down as opposed to hovering over the body of the page as one would expect. I thought this was a bad install of 4.4 so that's why I downgraded. But I think that's just the way 4.4 is.

Anyway, the second problem is cosmetic, but the first is a real issue.

Station settings are lost when downgrading to 4.3. That is because a lot has changed here to allow for multiple stations. The way hoovering works is what it does by design. So no bug here.

Why did you downgrade? In general that is not recommended as configuration settings are designed to be upwards compatible not downwards.
