Enhancement request: Low Priority

Post by hokendauquaWx »

Since getting my Nano SD a few weeks ago, I can say that I like it very much (moved over from using CumulusMX on a micro PC). One nice item was reviving my Twitter feed.

I had been using a hack where I had PHP pages set on the website that were called by web-based events [atrigger.com], that the would push Twitter posts... all that worked fine until a security update by Twitter that broke the process and I didn't get to fix the authentication bit...

So, the Twitter Service in Meteobridge works great, and my feed is up again.

That being said, I did have to take repeated "test, check, delete, tweak, test" rounds to get my #if# blocks to work right-ish (looks like my "currently raining" tweets need some tweaking this morning).

To reduce that development time, I would love to see a "Template Testing" option/tab. Real simple: textbox to accept template text, "test" button, then display output of template processing. It would make the testing less public (followers wouldn't get tweets that I later delete), and faster.

Just a thought.

And I'm glad I held off on getting one of the original network Meteobridge's: I love that the console is now no longer hard-wired to the network and that I can now move it about my home while still maintaining my data uploads.
