Problem picking Primary Station on NANOSD
Was updating software on the nanosd and when I was looking at the station information tab I saw that there was an option for a Davis WLL. But when I pick it there is no place to put an IP Address in. The connection has a drop down but the only thing there is a serial connection. I powered down the nanosd but it did not change. I did find in the station drop down that there is a user-defined that is pick and I cannot uncheck it. The nanosd was sending information to WU and it still looks like it is working. I will include two pictures of the stations page from the nanosd. The nanosd is running the latest firmware.

Re: Problem picking Primary Station on NANOSD
Yes, there is a bug in the interface. However, I don't understand why primary station of a NANO should be the WLL instead of the console it is plugged into.
Therefore, fixing this has very low priority to me. Or do I overlook a compelling use case?

Re: Problem picking Primary Station on NANOSD
If I pick the console I cannot check the box for the console in the drop down. The two drop downs do not have any other options than the ones you see. Do i just save it at this point and it will change to the console. Here is a picture of that tab.

Re: Problem picking Primary Station on NANOSD
Just click the add weather station button with the settings shown and you should be fine. You can also click on the station setup boxes and save them if you’d like.
Re: Problem picking Primary Station on NANOSD
So I added the station. In the IP Address field I have the address of the NANO is this correct. The check box next to the station name is not check is this ok.

Re: Problem picking Primary Station on NANOSD
Could you please first explain what you want to accomplish.
I really do not understand thias.
1. Are you setting up the nano? if so it should be inside your primary station
2. What / how many weather-stations do you have? 1 WLL (weatherlink live) + 1 MB-nano-inside a VUE or VP2 ?
3. What is your primary station => ??
4. What do you want to do with your nano, that it has to listen to itself?

Re: Problem picking Primary Station on NANOSD
The nano was up and running and sending information to WU. When I look at the nano station primary tab the check box was not set for the vantage station. If you look at the two pictures at the begin of the post. It was working fine at that point. I was looking at the instruction when setting up a station for the first time and it did not match what I had in mine. Maybe I am over thinking it and I should just leave it alone. To answer your questions.
1. The nano sd is in my primary station for over 2 years.
2. Only one station. I do have a weatherlink live. The nano sd is inside a VP2 console.
3.Davis Vantage PRO 2
4. It was working fine and sending information out.
Just wondering why the Primary Station tab looks the way it does as the pictures show. It was working fine.

Re: Problem picking Primary Station on NANOSD
Model: Is correct
Description: Is correct
Connection: Should be Serial
And there should be a Device: showing something like /dev/ttyS0
Station 1? Why is that showing?
Primary Station tab, what does that show?
Also what does your Network tab look like? This is where the WiFi client and IP config is

Re: Problem picking Primary Station on NANOSD
For question one I added the weather station 1 on your response to one of your answers. As you can see that the primary station tab has the settings you have in your last response. But the box next to where it has Vantage is not check. And this is what spurred this whole question. When I click on the drop down next to model on the Primary Station the only thing that is check is User-defined. If you look at the first attachment you will see what is under the User-defined setting. The nano work fine with the Primary Station showing Vantage with no check mark and User-defined check. But way is it this way?

The nano only fits in Davis consoles and the envoy.
We now learned it could be a little confusing, those empty squares could be removed as they look similar to selection squares.

Re: Problem picking Primary Station on NANOSD
Thanks for clearing that up. Sorry it took the long way around to get to this point. I will remove station 1. Thanks for your help.
