New user with odd Rain measurement issue

Post by WI1SKY »

I am using a Vantage Pro 2 (6152) with a ,01 inch tipping spoon and MeteoBridge on a TP-Link router. Everything works beautifully except for rainfall reporting to Weatherlink.com.
I am seeing the correct values for rainfall with all services except for Weatherlink.com. I have set the console to use ,01 inch but I am still seeing the totals in Weatherlink as inches but the total of what mm would be for that number of tips. For example. My current storm total is 4,35 inches in the VP2 console but Weatherlink is reporting it as 3,43 inches. This of course is exactly what it would be for 435 tips *,2mm = 87mm = 3,43 in.

Is this a Meteobridge issue or a Weatherlink.com issue? I suppose if MB simply reports the number of tips, it would be a WL issue but then I do not understand why it is showing inches but the value of what it would be if calculated in ,2mm tips.

Finally, I added a second station in WL to test and found the data to be the same, however when I had the Weatherlink app upload to that station the the current and storm totals were the correct IP values. From this I can only assume the Weatherlink.com is working correctly but MB is sending the SI values.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!
