WiFi connection with Fritzbox 7590 lost. **solved**

Post by WS Heinenoord »

I recently changed to a Fritzbox 7590 as router. After about 4 weeks of running OK, the Meteobridge Pro appeared stuck, no longer any uploads done.
Restarting resulted in "No network found". Even put close to the Fritzbox did not hekp. The only way to get things going again, was to connect via LAN cable. A deep dive by an network expert (not me), using the OpenWRT option, learned the MB Pro did not see my network, but did spot others.
The Fritzbox had started to use WiFi channel 12 & 13. And that's apparently "outside reach" for the MB Pro.
Deselecting the option in the Fritzbox to use channel 12 / 13 did cure problem.
Unfortunately the MB Pro had also stopped recording during the hangup.

I had the same experience with my FB 7590 and the NanoSD. If the router changes the frequency channel, the connection is lost every now and then. Since the 2.4 frequency band is set to channel 6 in the router, I no longer have any problems.
