Vantage Forecast ICON

Post by rongic »

Hello,

is it possible to add VP forecast icon to Meteobridge which is on field 89 of Vantage LOOP packet like was on Meteohub under "actual_thb0_fc_vpicon" tag ? Or if it is already there, can you please tell me under which [forecast-???] tag ?

Thank you :-)

Yes I know that. I do not want any icons from you. I just ask if it is possible to add VP forecast icon tag like already added VP forecast rule which is on field 90 of VP LOOP packet. On Meteohub there was this feature available and it was great to read what Vantage stations shows on display.

We dropped support for station forecast data in Meteobridge as we don't see any sense in that when operating a device connected to the Internet. One can hardly do any useful predicts based on local data only.

Despite the Davis console the website you want to show the data on is connected to the Internet and can provide much much better forecasts from there. I hope you can understand this line of thought, although it is a difference from Meteohub where you might be used to that feature.
