wrong readings of rain0rate

Post by ramon.sala »

My Meteobridge is receiving data via RF from the console of Davis Vantage Plus. Suddenly with no reason the Meteobridge shows readings on rainrate when no real rain occurs. The console doesn't. So I think it is a problem of Meteobridge itself.

I've a trigger sending email when rain0rate is diferent of 0. It works correctly triggering when real rain occurs, but not when there are phantom readings.

Any suggestions?

What is your RF threshold? When you pick up very weak signals incoming noise may pass the 1 byte checksum of the RF packets and result into false rain.

Thank you for the reply. Now I realize that I was wrong in my post. Sorry.

The problems are not with rai0nrate, the problem is with rain0total. Suddenly appears values of rain0total when no rain occurs (of course rain0rate don't show any values just before).

Do you think is still a problem of RF?

Thanks for you answer. I'll change the RF threshold.
