I'm trying to configure my Ecowitt HP2551 to upload to my Meteobridge but it doesn't appear to be working.
My setup is
172.16.20.200 - Meteobridge
172.16.20.201 - HP2551
I've included screenshots to show my configurations.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: Unable to upload from Ecowitt HP2551
I tested it and it works with the latest MB-releases.
Some ideas:
Update the HP2551 to the latest firmware versions first.
Older versions have some problems. => https://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic ... #msg426256
Only use most recent version of the WSView Plus app to change 2551 custom upload settings
You first tested with "WMR-200 via SW driver" emulation.
Reboot your Meteobridge to be sure no old settings are left.
In your browser enter http://172.16.20.200/public/ecowitt0.cgi
The message should read "FAILED" as there is no data.
No message or another messages signals no communication towards the Metebridge
Your Meteobridge log also has a message: "error (22) while doing bind (port 5553)" which should not occur either.
My log shows these messages, some are extra as MB runs on a RasberryPi: and the data arrives correctly

Re: Unable to upload from Ecowitt HP2551
Thankyou wvdkuil for the advice.
I did as suggested and updated the firmware on the console to V1.8.1 but still unable to get the data to send to Meteobridge.
Do I need to define a Weather Network in Meteobridge for it to be able to collect data?

Re: Unable to upload from Ecowitt HP2551
No extra definitions needed. The functionality is built into the Meteobridge.rob89m wrote: Sun Jul 24, 2022 3:05 pm Thankyou wvdkuil for the advice.

Really should work out of the box.
1. Did you test in the browser ?
Enter http://172.16.20.200/public/ecowitt0.cgi
The message should read "FAILED" as there is no data.
No message or another messages signals no communication towards the Metebridge
2. Do you have the sensors connected to your HP2551?
Are there correct values for outside temp, hum, wind on the HP2551
3. Did you "carefully" check the typed values in the WSView-plus app?
Please check if there is a space or whatever after the values 200 or cgi
Sometimes a linefeed character is inserted. Use the mouse to go from field to field.
4. Did you press "Save" in the WS-view plus app?
When you stop/exit the WSview app and then start again, are the values still in the "Customized" page?
5. What network-type is used?
I mean your local network 172.16.20.xxx ?
Is it all WiFi or is the MB attached using a cable?
Are both your MB en the HP2551 on the same router or accesspoint?
6. Did you accept the licence tab?
"I have read and accepted the license agreement above"
For now I am out of ideas why it is not working at your site while it works out of the box at my MB here,
succes, Wim
Re: Unable to upload from Ecowitt HP2551
not sure if the issue is meanwhile solved ... - if so, please add ** solved ** to your 1st post subject
otherwise, I have one more idea:
one issue which occurs even quite often is that you need to allow in your router that this WLAN ("WiFi") device, the HP2551 console, can communicate within the local network. There might a box in the router related to the console's IP address to be tagged to allow this. Otherwise the router blocks the local traffic while internet communication is possible.
Also, for your test with your MB - try a 16 second interval not to make MB wait to long for data to arrive.
You can also check if your console posts properly via the custom server functionality.
Go to https://ear.phantosoft.de and follow the instructions on the landing page.
Have your console post for a couple of minutes.
Then you know at least if the posting is working properly.
To me it looks rather like a network infrastructure issue and not a Meteobridge issue.
