Hello everyone

my Meteobridge PRO hangs up regularly, but the red LED is still lit. it also reset all my settings during an update, so I have now deactivated the updates. However, since I selected "Use the installed version", the device sometimes hangs and has to be restarted. Is there an explanation for these crashes?

That sounds odd. I guess this has to do with overloading by rapid FTP uploads or other network traffic. Would you mind to give me remote access? Please send credentials to "info(at)meteobridge.com".

ich habe seit über einer Woche das Problem das sich meine MB Pro Aufhängt und
ich sie dann durch Netzstecker ziehen und wieder einstecken neu Starten muss.
Gibt es eine Erklärung für diese Abstürze?

je nachdem, was man einem MB Pro zumutet, d.h. wieviele Sensoren, wieviele Stationen, Stunden- oder Minutendatenabspeicherung, wieviel Wetternetzwerke, wieviele Service-Ereignisse (http/ftp/export/backup etc.) Tasks man in welchen Zeitfenstern einplant, kann es leicht zu einer Überlastung der Meteobridge kommen, und dann bleibt sie auf der Strecke ... Ein MB Pro ist kein Sportwagen, das wäre MB auf einem RPi, insbesondere einem RPi4B.
Ohne genauere Angaben über die oben angeführten Systembe-/auslastungen, lässt sich dazu wenig sagen - ausser, dass solche Symptome regelmässig bei Überlastung auftreten. Boris (@admin) hat das ja bereits bezogen auf FTP-Aktivitäten beim ursprünglichen Poster angedeutet.
Wenn Du ihm Zugang zu Deinem System gibst, wird er den/die Übeltäter schnell herausfinden...

die MB Pro läuft jetzt 2 Jahre mit diesen Einstellungen bis vor gut einer Woche
habe ich diese Probleme nicht gehabt, den Zugang kann er gerne haben.
Ps. die MB pro wird seit dem Update 5.5 ohne mein zutun mindestens
1 mal mitunter auch 2 mal täglich neu gestartet warum?

ich habe keine Kristallkugel - Boris wird sicherlich herausfinden, ob es an Systemeinstellungen, einem Fehler in der Software oder ggf. beidem liegt.
Am besten ihn anschreiben - unter Verweis auf Deinen Post (nicht den Thread) - und um Diagnosehilfe bitten (info@smartbedded.com oder info@meteobridge.com) (Login-Credentials [username, password für die Meteobridge] gleich beifügen - spart Zeit; ggf. Netzwerkzugang ermöglichen).

Hello everybody,

I had to restart MB PRO+ yesterday evening, and found that I got several types of messages for not having set station type et c.

I didnot have time to deal with all the stuff because th MB Pro kept on rebooting. Today I found out that the SW was from 22 of October, and before that I know I had someting from September this year.

Today I have lost a lot of data, and some thing had gone away like the Weather Nets setting for Meteotemplate! I recreated the settings but had problems to get it to work, but I started to upload and I can see Live Data, Upload Status that data is sent. However, the data is not shown when checking the graph allinone-iso, besides pressure. And the pressure is strange it went from midnight 1006 hpa to 1003 at 10:20 this morning. After a series of reboots themn and also later on it went down to 972 hpa at10:35, that is a change of 31 hpa in 15 minutes. Checking at the Davis VP Console I see that it shows 1003 hpa.

Although the log shows that it has sent data to MeteoTemplate, there is no change there, since around 8:30 when temp was +7.7C, now the MT shows 0C as the current temp! (And according to the Davis console it has not been below 7.1C!

So, there seems to be quite a lot of settings that have been lost when when the update occured!

What to do?

Unsure what the October 22 release in regard being a French translation would cause the system to crash?

Simply restarting the system (for whatever reason) and ending up with a different version tends to indicate you had the Version Control set to "get newest on boot" which is not a good practice.

I would roll back to Version 5.4 and restore the latest Configuration Data backup and check if that fixes your issues.

I did as you suggested and got back to version 5.4.

Everything now works except exports. I will document in a new thread.

Ich habe jetzt mal noch die Displayanzeige auf jede Minute umgestellt war vorher auf 5s, habe jetzt seit 11Tagen keinen Absturz mehr gehabt.

das wird die Lebenserwartung des Displays signifikant erhöhen

Just a question from a "beginner" of Meteobridge PRO:

The connection with LAN works. Whenever I trie to connect Meteobridge with WLAN in runs into an endless repoot circle. I only can stop this by disconnection the power, reconnect it and selecting "reboot with LAN" via the little button below the LED´s.

So at the end I´m not able to run Meteobridge via WLAN. (the WLAN prameter in the network page are correct and my WLAN (running with OS 10.13 and Fritzbox are compatible to the given specification of Meteobridge).

Does anyone had the same behaviour or even a solution?

I recently had the same problem with a NanoSD. The LED light kept on flickering quickly no matter how often I rebooted and I could not connect to the Meteobridge with my laptop (Microsoft software) and could therefore not set up a connection. After trying for several days, I was desperate and asked somebody to help. He had no problem connecting with an IPad and managed to complete the Meteobridge setup. The LED stopped flickering and then I could connect with my laptop as usual. I still don't understand what caused the problem. Check if you can see the Meteobridge Network listed on your list of home networks. If you can, than the Pro is connecting to your wifi but not to you computer (this was my problem). If you cannot see the Meteobridge Network listed than you have a different problem.
