Templates - moonrise / moonset **solved**

Post by hakkisk »

The problem with the moonrise/moonset template has not been solved for a long time!
When the hour is 00:, the system cannot replace the variable ... :-/
(My device is TP-Link MR3020 v3.x)

There is no problem. There are days where no moon rise or moon fall occurs. This is an astronomical fact you might not be aware of.
Meteobridge works as designed and does not evaluate the moon rise time on that days. What do you expect it to return in that case? Some self invented string? Meteobridge template evaluation allows to provide a default string in case a variable cannot be evaluated, which is the case here.

A correct use of the variable is to specify "[mbsystem-moonrise:]" to return an empty string when you are at a day that does not have a moon rise time.

So we don't have a "long time not solved bug" here but a lack of understanding of astronomical facts and how to use Meteobridge variables on the user side.

Oh my god, really. Sorry.
However, the cycle of the moon is more than 24 hours, so it must be reflected somewhere...
For example: https://www.timeanddate.com/moon/slovakia/bratislava

So the repair is simple for me... ;-)
