Pro2 realtime display

Post by Snapper »

Hi

I’m looking to upgrade my station software and the MB Pro2 caught my eye…
Used to have a MB Nano SD but changed setup and no-longer have it.

I have Davis VP2 at the moment, with separate transmitters for Rain, temp/Hum and Anenometer/UV/Solar - this means the MB Nano SD is out as the VP2 console can’t cater for separate Solar/UV from the ISS.

What I would like is a low power all-in-one solution that can harvest observations and then self host a website that I can point my console thin client at to give a real-time view.
I remember the MB Nano SD had an internal hosted website, but can’t honestly remember if it was realtime (i.e. Davis 2.5sec wind update) or not

Does the Pro2 offer this, and if so, is there a demo anywhere?
I’m OK with the underlying MB as I have used it before, it’s just a realtime visualisation I’m interested in…

Many thanks

Hi,

I have just purchased and implemented a Pro 2 and yes it has a two internal dashboards a Weather34 Dashboard and a Weather34 Aurora Light Dashboard. I think mine updates every 10s or so and that is fine for me. I also send data to various online apps and to my own website and that all seems to be working ok. In fact today I switched off the old pc that I was using to collect the data. I changed to have a low power solution and the fact that the pc was becoming unreliable.

All good so far, although it’s been a steep learning curve to master the metrobridge ways of doing things. I have even started to create my own charts today to display more than the standard data. I have a Davis pro 2 plus with a soil station and an additional temperature station to monitor conditions in a greenhouse all seem to be talking to the MB Pro2 fine.
